Frequently Asked Questions

What is your current office procedure?

We are no longer requiring masks or practicing Covid-related protocols. We are so happy to see everyone's faces again, and you are welcome to come into the exam room during appointments. If picking up medications or food, please meet our receptionist at the front desk which is up the ramp at the front of our building and faces Vista Avenue.

Do you offer same day appointments?

You are always welcome to call to see if there are any openings in our schedule. If our schedule has filled and your pet is experiencing an urgent situation, we may ask if you can drop your pet off with us. We would see the pet in-between out appointments. The doctor will call with updates and to let you know when your pet is ready for pickup. Drop-offs will include an urgent care fee and a hospitalization fee which will depend on the length and intensity of the stay. We have a limited number of drop-off appointments each day for urgent situations.

Why does my pet need an annual exam?

Wellness visits are the perfect time to talk about your pet's behavior and physical well-being.  Keeping up on annuals can help your pet live a longer, healthier life by catching issues while they are young. The doctor may find medical issues during an exam which the pet hasn't been showing signs of. State law requires our patient's annuals be up-to-date in order to send medications home with you.

What is your procedure for surgeries?

For standard surgeries such as spays, neuters, mass removals, and dental cleanings, we ask that your pet is dropped off between 7 - 8AM the day of the surgery. We will give you a call when your pet is finished and waking up from anesthesia. Pick up time is generally between 4 - 5PM. Any pet undergoing anesthesia must fast for 12 hours prior to the surgery.

Do you only see cats and dogs?

Our veterinarians like to see all our small furry friends. Along with cats and dogs, we provide care for rats, hamsters, guinea pigs, ferrets, rabbits, and even chickens.

Do you offer payment plans?

We require that your bill is paid in full at the time of service and are unable to offer payment plans through our office. For payment we accept all major bank cards, checks, cash, and

Care Credit. We strive to keep our clinic prices affordable so your best friend can get the quality care they deserve.
